Color Blind Test

15 randomized plates with multi-color dots, scientifically stepped difficulty, and cone-sensitivity scoring. Every test is unique β€” 100% private.

🎨 The World's Most Advanced Free Color Blind Test

Every plate uses a random base hue, multi-color dot palette, and scientifically stepped difficulty based on cone-isolation principles. Difficulty ramps from a wide hue gap (140Β°) down to a brutal 8Β° β€” testing the finest levels of red-green color discrimination. No two tests are the same.

πŸ”΅ Astigmatism Dial Test

Look at the dial below. If some lines appear darker or sharper than others, you may have astigmatism. This is a simple screening test β€” not a diagnosis.

πŸ“–How to Use the Eye Tester

  1. Prepare your screen: Turn brightness to 100%, disable blue-light filters, and use good room lighting.
  2. Color Blind Test: Choose Number or Symbol mode, set a per-plate time limit, then click Start. Every plate is randomly generated.
  3. Answer honestly: Select the single digit or shape you see, or click "Nothing" if you can't see a figure.
  4. Read your result: After all 15 plates, you get a cone sensitivity score (0–100) plus per-plate breakdown.
  5. Vision & Astigmatism tests: Switch tabs to run Snellen acuity and dial screening.

πŸ’¬Frequently Asked Questions

Is this color blind test accurate?
It uses cone-isolation and progressive contrast-reduction principles similar to modern clinical tests. Screen calibration and lighting affect accuracy. It's a screening guide, not a medical diagnosis.
Why are plates different every time?
Every plate uses a random base hue, random dot distribution, random dot sizes, and random target digit. This prevents memorization and improves long-term reliability.
What do the Protan / Deutan / Tritan scores mean?
Protan relates to the red cone, Deutan to the green cone, and Tritan to the blue cone. Scores near 100 indicate normal sensitivity. Lower scores suggest reduced sensitivity along that axis.
Can I take it with color-correcting glasses?
Yes! Enable the "wearing glasses" toggle during setup and retake the test. You can compare your score with and without glasses.
Are my results sent to a server?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser using JavaScript and Canvas. Your data never leaves your device.
